'Fantastic!'
We have just returned from a great 6 nights stay in the Penny Red and have felt depressed ever since. Beautiful apartment, best we have stayed in, everything is spotlessly clean with luxury fittings. Lovely views from all the windows and an amazing view from the balcony, great just having a cup of tea dolphin watching ( we even managed to spot one ). The coastal path is just yards away and it is a lovely 20 mins walk to Tresaith Bay. We will definitely visit again in the future.
'Lovely apartment in a perfect location'
My husband and daughter have just spent five nights at the penny red, the apartment was fabulous, clean & bright in the most amazing spot. The weather was perfect, wall to wall sunshine each day, none of the coats we took were required! Managed breakfast on the balcony each day, Within easy reach of the most fabulous beaches, we did Aberystwyth, Newquay - saw lots of dolphins here, Tenby & Mwnt. Sampled two pubs, the chinese and the chip shop, all close by, would thoroughly recommend a stay at the old post office.
'Perfect!'
Just returned from a 4 night break in the Penny Red @ Aberporth - what a little gem. Took my elderly Mother and Aunt on a "girlie" holiday. It was perfect. The apartment was overlooking the beach and sea- picturesque. We were greeted by Jeff who helped us to take our luggage up the 20 something steps to our accommodation - we were shown around and made to feel at home with welsh cakes and ice cold wine provided to welcome us. Every home comfort had been thought of. The apartment is modern, clean and well equipped-every window provided different views of the tiny bay, sea and beach. Always something to watch. Sat on the glass lined balcony watching dolphins-eating breakfast, sat on the clean fine sandy beach eating fish and chips (from the owners cafe next door but one to the apartment) and sipped fizz, walked along the tarmac Coastal path towards Tresaith cove. Had tea and a cold lager at the pub next door to the apartment which is in the process of being extended and almost finished with similar glass lined balconies to enjoy the sea view and sunsets. All those activities took place 1 minute from our apartment. Weather permitting-you need not get the car out of it's allocated space. There are lots of beautiful beaches, towns and villages along this coastline if you want to venture out-just bear in mind most of it is quite hilly and roads narrow. The mini break made lots of new memories for two older ladies! Thank-you.
'You won't be in a rush to leave! Diolch Yn Fawr'
Fabulous property surpassed expectations looked even better than the pictures on the website. Great location as a family of 4 and our dog, we stayed in the ground floor Penny Black Apartment for a weekend break Fri- Sun and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The whole booking process was made really easy thanks to Sam, an e-mail prior to our arrival gave us all the information we required. Bad traffic meant we were late arriving but this was not a problem. We have opted for apartments previously due to us taking our dog Jaeger, but this apartment knocks socks off them! The apartment high spec, clean fresh, spacious, wonderful views and only a short walk for the shops. Some milk and other supplies had been left for us☺ which was a lovely touch. Both the bedrooms were large with an en-suite to the master and there was a double pull out bed in the lounge and spare bedding, if needed. Furnished to the highest standard with leather sofas, cotton bedlinen, TV, DVD player, Wi-FI, Dishwasher, Washer/Dryer etc It was excellent value for money for our 2 night stay. A gated yard that made you feel very secure and perfect for our dog. It also had its own designated car park space. The Old Post Office is perfectly positioned for our needs with a great view of the beach. Sam & Jeff have a guide for all the lovely eateries and boat trips as well as other attractions, with some offering a discount if you mention the Old Post Office. Excellent Holiday made even more memorable thanks to the kind attention of the owners for whom nothing was too much trouble Would definitely return and recommend to anyone as a great place to stay. You won't be in a rush to leave! Diolch Yn Fawr with a 10/10 from us!
'Outstanding Quality - very impressive'
Stayed for a long weekend in Aberporth, blessed with the weather. The Penny Black apartment is stunning and furnished to the highest standards - our dog (Archie) loved the beaches and we loved the two pubs - Archie was welcome in both and that really helped Beautiful and enjoyable walk (mile and a half) along the coastal path in short sleeves, stunning scenery and not a million miles from the end of the M4 to be honest - perfect weekend break Thank you Sam we will def return at some point !
'Fantastic beautiful property ideal for everyone'
This property(ground floor) has excellent facilities and is decorated to a high standard. It has TVs in both bedrooms as well as the lounge which is good for people wanting to watch different programmes. The property has free wifi which kept my daughter very happy. There is a pub next door ( the ship in)which does do food and allows dogs in the bar area. The beach across the quiet road opposite is fantastic a nice sandy beach which keeps youngsters occupied for hours. There is so much on the doorstep with other beaches close by. Cardigan has a Tescos and an Aldi which are a ten minute drive away and the town centre has good parking facilities. Really enjoyed our four night stay in this beautiful part of the world which we had not visited before. Wish we could have stayed longer but did make the most of the time we had and were very lucky with the weather. This property is superb and one of the best we have stayed in and would strongly recommend it.
'What more could you want?'
Fabulous apartment with everything you could possibly need - right over-looking the beach! Beautiful countryside and wildlife - weather was mixed when we were there but lovely cliff top walks, good pub meals (especially at the Ship at Tresaith). National coast areas such as Mwnt and Penbryn well worth seeing and Llangrannog (Had lunch at another Ship Inn!). Caridgan Farm Park worth visiting to see animals - good place for children and we saw very big seals there below the cliffs!
'Perfect Place for a relaxed holiday'
We have just returned from a week in beautiful West Wales at Two Penny Blue. From the moment we arrived we were very impressed by everything and our opinion stayed the same throughout the week. This apartment is beautiful, the owners have really thought of everything and it’s all of such a high standard.
The sofas and bed were really comfortable and the bathrooms were impressive. The rainforest shower felt very luxurious every morning. I loved the kitchen and especially the red fridge! We were there for Christmas and managed easily to cook a full Christmas dinner with all the utensils and pans etc, very well stocked! My husband loved the wood burning fire the best, he spend ages making fire! The space is well laid out and feels big enough to have a family in or cosy enough for a couple.
The little touches are what makes this place stand out; the funky decor, colour scheme, dimmer switch in the bathroom (for a relaxed bath), little LED lights at floor height in the kitchen, cute cushions on the sofa etc. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, Sam and Jeff. They were very friendly and came to visit us, even resetting the wireless router on Christmas day so we could skype our family- now that’s service! We really appreciated the wine and milk in the fridge and little Christmas cakes for us on arrival, a lovely touch. It was great to see such well stocked cupboards with great crockery/mugs etc but also everything you could need to clean under the sink.
The balcony was a lovely touch and the view of the beach was amazing. I loved listening to the sound of the waves, very relaxing and peaceful. The location is perfect, we loved the coastal walks and beaches and the little shop up the road was well stocked and very friendly too.
We would return in a heartbeat and will recommend this place to all our friends.

'Fantastic apartment with the beach as your front garden!'
We had a fantastic stay at the Penny Black, which started with Sam and Jeff's great welcome on the Saturday afternoon and continued right through the week. The location, next to the dog friendly beach at Aberporth, was perfect for us as we were staying with our black labrador. The apartment itself is very well appointed, the showers were fantastic and it was a pleasure to return to at the end of a busy day on the beach. The weather can be unpredicable in the area, but being so close to the beach meant we were able to have a leisurely breakfast and then get onto the sand at a moments notice.
Aberporth itself, is a small village with a few shops and restaurants within easy walking distance as well as a pub nextdoor to the apartments. We found the apartment was so comfortable, that we tended to stay in most evenings rather than eat or drink out, but it was nice to have the option.
We heartily recommend the Penny Black to anyone considering it.

'Home from home'
Before we even arrived the service we received from Sam was excellent.Travelling from Spain meant that we arrived late but Sam arranged for us to conveniently pick up the keys and how wonderful to arrive and be able to make a cup of tea or have a glass of wine without having to go shopping! The apartment had everything you could possibly want and is maintained to a very high level. The area is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle and all the people we came in contact with were very friendly. Well worth while discovering the rest of the coast and towns such as Cardigan, Narberth and, although a bit further away, St Davids is a must. All in all a perfect week.

'Relaxing, Modern, Wonderful!'
We had a lovely 3 nights at Two Penny Blue. It was my first trip to Wales and I'm really happy with the choice of accommodation. The apartment has a great outlook out over the beach and a great big balcony (1st floor). The interior of the apartment is stylish and comfortable. Sam was very welcoming and helpful with booking. There is so much to do around Aberporth. We did a few coastal walks and a boat trip at New Quay. I would highly recommend Two Penny Blue for a relaxing break!!

'Penny Red is Really as Perfect as the Reviews Suggest!'
'We had a great short break here. The booking through Samantha was quick efficient and really friendly. As someone who specialises in marketing and customer service (albeit in a legal context) Samantha really knows what she is doing.
The apartment is indeed perfect. Great views, modern decor, clean, just a great place to stay. Samantha checked all was well and stayed in contact. It has wifi, it has a TV and Dvd player and proper cooking facilities.'

“You couldn't ask for more from your stay the The Old Post Office. It's in a prime location, with the most fabulous views! A beautiful coastal walk will take you accross to Tresaith in 30 mins, to a lovely pub called The Ship - gorgeous views of the sea while you sit & eat lovely food :) There is nothing more to say other than make sure you check out these apartments for yourself & have a wonderful stay!”

'Beautiful apartment'
We stayed at the Penny Black for a short break. It was a lovely apartment, beautifully presented and maintained. Everything had been thought of. Comfortable and warm. Ideal location, pub, cafe and fish&chip shop next door, beach over the road and coastal path, what more do you need. If I was going to holiday in Aberporth again, I wouldn`t think of staying anywhere else.

It was lovely to come back to the warmth and comfort of the Penny Red, which is without doubt the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. 'Wonderful Wales at its Best'
We stayed at the Penny Black for two nights and it was so relaxing and fun that we cant wait to return.
It is beautifully decorated, exceptionally comfortable and very welll appointed with all you could possibly need.
Being just across the road from the beach makes it in ideal bucket and spade holiday. Aberporth beach is gorgeous and sitting eating breakfast while watching the dogs play on the beach was wonderful.
Sam and Jeff are very attentive hosts who ensure all your needs are met and we can't wait for the Summer holidays to come around so we can stay in this little slice of heaven.

'Outstanding Property & Location, Simply Fantastic!'
My son (11yrs) and I spent a few days in The Two Penny Blue apartment last week along with friends and their children in The Old Post Office and I was delighted with the accommodation. The beds were so comfortable with lovely crisp linen. The property is furnished, decorated, well equipped, clean and comfortable with sea views. Access to a lovely sandy beach is a short walk away as are the local amenities. Sam made us very welcome and was at hand if needed. If the weather was sunny or wet the location and apartment complemented one another perfectly. To escape for those few days blew the cobwebs away and left me and my son refreshed and revived for the new term ahead. Certainly a return visit necessary.

'Fantastic apartment'
“Fantastic apartment for a lovely chilled out family break. Location was ideal for use with young children, we could pop back and forth the beach and both kids now have rosy cheeks to prove the sea air does you the world of good. We didn't travel far in our weeks stay as we had everything here, beach, lovely apartment and a glass of wine when the kids were in bed. Would come back in a heart beat. Looking forward to returning. Also, saw dolphins a few times which was fantastic!”

'Great location for our New Years Celebrations - Perfect for Families'
We booked all 3 apartments in the property for a New Year stay with friends. ( 5 families in total )
Jeff and Sam provided a great service - they were always easily contactable and friendly and even provided 3 bottles of champagne for NYE .
The properties are very clean and modern and there is lots of attention to detail with the Post Office theme throughout. I particularly liked the outside shower for hosing down wetsuits.
Great location - pub next door serving great beer ( Tribute and Landlord ) and good fish and chips next door but one. Could not be handier for the beach and there is a nice walk down the coastal path to another Ship Inn at Tresaith which serves great food and more great beer ! Handy for day trips to Newquay, Cardigan ( Yum Yums sweet shop very popular with the kids )and Aberaeron.
